We at Nostalgic Remembrance are pleased to announce our online course "The Art of God", a four seminars journey into the heart of art and the creative process. Each month, we will dedicate an entire weekend to various dimensions of the creative process through the lens of a sacred Sufi prophetic tradition wherein God says: "I was a Hidden Treasure, and I loved to be known. Thus, I created creation, that I may be known." During the weekend of April 23-25, our theme will be "I loved to be known", and we will discuss the importance of love as a necessary component of tasting, consuming and producing art. Unlike our standalone retreats, this inaugural course will also include various activities and a cumulative art project for each participant to be completed in a medium of their choosing. Certificates of completion will be given to students who register and participate in all four seminars. There will also be a montage produced after the course is finished highlighting the students' accomplishments. Alongside our main teacher and resident scholar Dr. Ali Hussain, we are pleased to announce that we will also have the following nationally renowned artists as guest teachers for this seminar: Detroit Jazz musicians Lu Fuki and Tazeen Ayub The cost of this seminar is $60.
